How to download your Tinder data

2026-07-02

Tinder is legally required (GDPR, CCPA) to hand over all the data it has on you. The export includes your full swipe history, matches, the messages you sent, and your profile — everything RizzStats needs to build your personal analytics.

Requesting the export

  1. Go to account.gotinder.com and log in with the same method you use in the app (phone number, Google or Apple).
  2. Choose Download my data.
  3. Confirm your email address and submit the request.
  4. Wait for the email. Tinder says "a few days" — in practice it usually arrives within 24–72 hours.
  5. The email contains a link to download a ZIP archive. The link expires after about a week, so don't sit on it.

What's in the archive

Unzip it and you'll find data.json — that single file is what you upload to RizzStats. It contains:

  • Usage: daily counts of app opens, swipes, matches and messages
  • Messages: every message you sent, per match
  • Your profile: bio, settings, filters

Note that Tinder only includes messages you sent — the other side of your conversations is their data, not yours.

Analyzing it

Head to the upload page, drop in data.json, and your insights are ready in seconds. No account needed, and your raw data is never shown to anyone else.
