Last updated 13 August 2026. RizzStats is operated by X Group AS, which is the data controller for everything described below.

What we store

Your export file is parsed in your browser, so the original file never leaves your device. We store the structured data the browser extracts:

  • Profile facts from the export (gender, birth date, account age, etc.). Bio and city/region are stored only if you leave them ticked during upload; they start included, and you can switch them off. Who you're interested in starts switched off: paired with your gender it can reveal your sexual orientation, and nothing in your stats or benchmarks needs it, so we only store it if you turn it on.
  • Your match history and the full text of the messages you sent. Message bodies are always collected, because the service needs them for personal analytics, the Rizz Score, and AI Studio features like the Profile Roast.
  • Derived statistics (match rate, reply rate, activity over time, Rizz Score) plus a history of snapshots so we can show you how your numbers change between uploads.

We also record your country (at account creation) and any additional details or life events you add yourself in Settings. Your data is tied to your account and is never visible to other users unless you explicitly create a share link.

What we never do

We never sell your data or raw messages to advertisers, brokers, or any third party. We never show your personal data (bio, city, or message content) to other users or on public pages. Share pages contain only derived statistics and timelines.

Data from users who have not actively opted into Market Insights is never used for research. Data uploaded before the Market Insights program (July 2026) is never included in research.

Market Insights, only if you say yes

After your first results, your dashboard invites you to join Market Insights (you can also join or leave from account settings). This is an active choice. It is never preselected, and it is not bundled with upload or terms.

Joining means RizzStats may use your uploaded data, including the full text of your messages, for internal market research, for building the cohort benchmarks ("people like you"), and for trend insights that help fund the service. That use covers raw, individual-level message content, under your explicit consent.

Your data is never sold, never made public, and never shown to other users. You can leave anytime in Settings; leaving stops all future research use of your data. Live benchmarks are only shown when a cohort has enough opted-in participants (minimum size guard).

The people you matched with

Your export describes other people too, so it's worth being precise about what we keep. For each match we store the app's own reference for that conversation, when it started, whether you marked that you met, and the messages yousent. We do not store their name, photo, profile, handle, or contact details. The exports don't give us their replies, and there is nowhere in our schema for any of the rest.

Your own messages can still mention someone, of course. We can't filter that without reading your conversations more closely than we want to, and they have no way to hear from us. So we keep as little as the format allows, never make it public, and never show it to another user.

Sharing

Nothing is public unless you create a share link. Share pages show only derived statistics, timelines and your Rizz Score; never your city, age, bio, or message content.

Deletion

Deleting your account removes everything: uploaded files, computed statistics, and share links. This is immediate and irreversible. You can do it from your account page at any time.

Analytics

We count page views and product events (upload started, share link created) to understand what works. We never send the contents of your dating data to analytics, and we never track you across other websites.

What runs depends on the choice you make in the consent banner:

  • Before you choose, or if you decline: anonymous page counts only. Nothing is stored on your device: no analytics cookies, no session recording.
  • If you accept analytics: we set analytics cookies and use local storage so we can follow a visit across sessions, and we link events to your account once you sign in.
  • If you accept session replay: we record how you move through the interface. All text and all input fields are masked, so a replay shows layout, navigation and clicks, never your dating data or anything you type.

You can change or withdraw these choices at any time from the consent banner, and withdrawing removes what an earlier grant stored on your device.

AI features and how your data is used

The AI Studio features (Profile Roast, opener generator, bio rewriter, conversation analysis) are produced by a large language model operated by Anthropic (Claude), acting as our processor.

To generate them we send Anthropic your derived statistics and, for the relevant features, samples of the messages you sent and any text you paste in yourself (for example the bio you ask us to rewrite). We only send this when you use one of these features.

Anthropic processes this on our behalf to return the result and does not use it to train their models. AI output can be wrong or unflattering; treat it as entertainment and suggestion, not advice.

Who else processes your data

We do not sell your data. To run the service we use the following processors, each bound to handle data only on our instructions:

  • Neon: the database your data is stored in.
  • Vercel: hosting and delivery of the site.
  • Anthropic: the AI features described above.
  • PostHog (EU): the product analytics described above, subject to your consent.
  • Lemon Squeezy: payments and subscription management. Card details go to them, never to us.
  • Resend: transactional email (verification, password reset).

Some of these operate in the United States, so your data may be transferred outside the EEA. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Why we are allowed to process this

  • To deliver the service you asked for (performance of a contract): parsing your export, computing your statistics, running an AI feature when you press the button.
  • Your consent: Market Insights, analytics cookies, and session replay. Each is a separate opt-in you can withdraw.
  • Our legitimate interest: keeping the service secure and preventing abuse.

A dating export says a lot about you. We treat message content as sensitive and never make it public, never show it to other users, and never sell it.

Your rights

You can see, correct, export, or delete your data, object to how we use it, and withdraw any consent you have given. Two of these are self-service in Settings: Download my data and Delete my account. For anything else, contact us and we will handle it.

If you think we have handled your data badly you can complain to your local data protection authority. In Norway that is Datatilsynet.

Retention

Anonymous sessions that never become an account are deleted automatically after 30 days, together with everything they uploaded. Data tied to an account is kept until you delete it.
